Donation Link for Monthly Sponsorship Payments via PayPal
Monthly donations have PayPal fees associated with them (1.99% plus $0.49). You can choose to cover the fees or not when you set up your recurring monthly donations. You do not need a PayPal account to set up monthly donations, but you will need an account to stop or change monthly donation amounts in the future. So, it is best to have a PayPal account if you are making monthly donations. Click on the link below to donate this way. Receipts and thank you notes for tax-deductible gifts made via PayPal will be sent to you by MEF. We will also send you a consolidated receipt for all your donations during the year in early January.

Donate as you do your weekly shopping
Kroger Community Rewards: The Kroger family of companies (Kroger, Ralphs, Dillons, Smith’s, King Soopers, Fry’s, QFC, City Market, Owen’s, Jay C, Pay Less, Baker’s, Gerbes, Harris Teeter, Pick ‘n Save, Metro Market, Mariano’s) and other merchants donate a percentage of your purchases to a preferred charity. You will be asked to create a digital account and indicate MEF as the organization you want to support.
Donations with Corporate Match
Many corporations will match your donation, and MEF is approved by most corporations for matching funds. If you are eligible for a corporate match, we will be happy to help you with necessary corporate paperwork. Please email us if you are making a large donation with corporate match as we may be able to help you increase your match limit. You can see if your employer provides an employee match here.
Vehicle Donations
Have a used car or boat that you would like to donate? You can donate it in less than a week. We can also accept donations of appreciated stocks and bonds. Just email maasaieducationfoundation@gmail.com for details.
IRA Contribution
If you’re age 70½ or older, you can transfer up to $100,000 a year per person directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to charitable organizations like MEF. There’s no income tax on your gift, and it’s a great way to leave a legacy for future generations of Maasai children. Please email us at maasaieducationfoundation@gmail.com to go over the tax and philanthropic advantages of donating from your IRA.
eBay for Charity
When you list an item, select the option to “Donate a portion to Charity.” Instead of the list of charities there, search for a different charity (Maasai Education Foundation). Select the percentage you would like to donate. You can verify the charity and donation percentage on your item by checking the information included in the item description.
When you create a listing with eBay for Charity and that item sells, eBay will discount the variable portion of the Final Value Fees, equal to the percentage of the final sale price that you elected to donate. Insertion fee, per order fee and other fees aren’t included in the discount.
You can also donate items to MEF, and we will sell them on eBay for you. The Maasai Education Foundation is an IRS approved 501(c)3 public charity. Our EIN is 81-4330519. Your donations are charitable donations for tax purposes. We will send you a charitable tax receipt for all donations.
