The Maasai Education Foundation is an IRS approved 501(c)3 public charity. Our EIN is 81-4330519. Your donations are charitable donations for tax purposes. We have minimal overhead since we are 100% volunteer run. 99% plus of your donation goes directly to Tanzania to support our programs.

Amazon Smile
Did you know that Amazon will donate 0.5 percent of most of your Amazon purchases (made through a web browser, but not via Amazon phone or tablet apps) to the Maasai Education Foundation if you request it through their Amazon Smile program. You can do this as follows:
How to use AmazonSmile on a web browser:
- Visit smile.amazon.com
- Sign in with the same account you use for Amazon.com
- Select your charity
- Start shopping! Remember to checkout at smile.amazon.com to generate donations for your chosen charity.
Tip: Add a bookmark to make it easier to shop at smile.amazon.com.
How to use AmazonSmile using the Amazon app on your mobile phone:
- Open the Amazon Shopping app
- Navigate to the main menu (≡)
- Tap on Settings and then select “AmazonSmile”
- Select your charity and then follow the on-screen instructions to turn ON AmazonSmile in the mobile app
- Once AmazonSmile has been activated in your app, future eligible app purchases will generate a donation for the charity you have selected.

Kroger Community Rewards
Create a digital account (if you do not have one): A digital account is needed to participate in Kroger Community Rewards. If you already have a digital account, simply link your Shopper’s Card to your account so that all transactions apply toward the organization you choose. https://www.kroger.com/account/create/
Link your Card to an organization: Selecting the organization that you wish to support is as simple as updating the Kroger Community Rewards selection on your digital account.
1. Sign in to your digital account.
2. Search for your organization here.
3. Enter the name (Maasai Education Foundation) or NPO number (GT484) of the organization you wish to support.
4. Select the appropriate organization from the list and click “Save”.
Donations with Corporate Match
Many corporations will match your donation. If you are eligible for a corporate match, we will be happy to help you with necessary corporate paperwork. Please email us (maasaieducationfoundation@gmail.com) if you are making a large donation with corporate match as we may be able to help you increase your corporate match limit.

eBay for Charity
When you list an item, select the option to “Donate a portion to Charity.” Select a charity from the list of options or search for a different charity (Maasai Education Foundation). Select the percentage you would like to donate to charity. You can verify the charity and donation percentage on your item by checking the information included in the item description.
When you create a listing with eBay for Charity and that item sells, eBay will discount the variable portion of the Final Value Fees, equal to the percentage of the final sale price that you elected to donate. Insertion fee, per order fee and other fees aren’t included in the discount.
Note: The charity you select will be notified of your listing according to its account preferences and has the right to request an item cancellation if it prefers not to benefit from your listing.
