Daphne and Maria are the two young women who’s chance encounter in 2016 at Lake Natron led to the creation of the Maasai Education Foundation and its support for the Engaruka English Medium Primary School. Daphne is currently (2024) a 10th grader in New Jersey and Maria is a 10th grader studying business in a secondary school in Kenya. Daphne regularly attends MEF board meetings and visits the school regularly and always manages to catch up with Maria. Their photo is from 2019.
