Hello, my name is…

Saringe Lobikoo Birikaa

I’m a 9 year old boy
I’m in the 4th grade

Saringe Lobikoo Birikaa is a 9-year-old boy from Ngorongoro district. His father is married to three wives and his mom is a second wife. They live in a village where there is no a primary school so none of their children have ever gone to school. Instead, they are used to keep the livestock, while girls are prepared for marriages and boys are prepared as a next warrior of the community. From a relative, Saringe’s mother heard about EEMPS and asked her husband if she could go to the hospital in Engaruka but instead she came to EEMPS to ask for scholarship support and the school’s assistance in convincing her husband to allow Saringe to go to school. His father was contacted by the ward education department to encourage him to send his children to school. He agreed if Saringe received a scholarship. Saringe’s mother was very happy. 2026 4th grade student. His tuition and fees are $700.
