The MEF 2025 Mid-Year Fundraiser, which ran through July 15, 2025 is a huge success. The goal was to raise $30,000 to complete the missing fourth wing of the boys’ dormitory at Engaruka English Medium Primary School (EEMPS). As of 5pm 7/10/2025, we have received $53,288 in donations and pledges for the dormitory and $500 for student sponsorships.
Construction of the first three wings of the boys’ dormitory was completed late last year, and the boys moved in in January. The cost of the first three wings was $188,000. The addition of the fourth wing will complete the dormitory. Funding the fourth wing of the dormitory, which will cost approximately $60,000, is the primary goal of this year’s mid-year fundraiser. MEF board members have pledged to match the first $5,000 in donations.
